DECK 9

Islands is the ship’s buffet restaurant, offering a long dining service between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. The main servings are breakfast, lunch and dinner and in between these periods, the buffet serves a selection of salads, meets, various meals, fruits and desserts.

The Food

Breakfast

There are cooking stations where chefs will prepare omelettes to your liking. s an express breakfast option with one main course, this is pre-prepared and served immediately. This is generally a traditional English-cooked breakfast.

There are other cooked options made to order, such as kippers, pancakes and eggs benedict.

There are the usual choices of tea, coffee, and fruit juices

And for the Brits who cannot have full English without HP, do not worry, bottles are available.

Lunch

The chefs will rotate dishes, so there is always something different each day to try. Lots of fresh salads, meats and cheeses, main dishes could include lasagne, pies, gammon, chicken, potatoes, fries and a good choice of vegetables. A range of deserts are on offer and members of the crew will gladly pour you an ice cream cone.

Dinner

The dinners tend to be more substantial in offering such as steak, chicken, fish, hot pot, roast potatoes, and vegetables. There is always a good salad station available. Wine and draught beer are available self-service at the drink stations. Always an ever-changing dessert offering available.

There are vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus reduced sugar dishes.

Anytime Dining

In between the regular meal times, the buffet continues to offer food, which included salads, cold meats, chips and a small number of meal dishes. Afternoon tea is available every day with some delectable desserts, scones and sandwiches.
