Why can’t an MP ask this at Prime Ministers’ questions? “The PM gives a figure of 24,000 returns of people not entitled to stay in this country. However, the public says they are confused as only 6,000 of these returns were enforced, the vast majority were people who had overstayed their visas and left without the government’s prior knowledge. Would it be best in future if the PM gave the figure of actual ‘enforced returns’?

The Chinese people live by the concept of guanxi; the relationships that you build and how they interact, you can’t let a person that you’re negotiating with “lose face”. You have to be careful not to insult or push too hard in a certain direction. It’s tough because the Chinese will negotiate very aggressively.

The report stated Trump was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 224 pounds. This means Trump has grown an inch and lost 28 pounds since his arrest in 2023.

February 25th 2025, today The United States joined Russia and North Korea to vote against a UN General Assembly resolution condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine.
In 1990, in a Warsaw bar, I had drinks with an ex-KGB officer who headed the security team for the company I worked for. Over drinks, he asked if I knew Donald Trump, and of course, I had. My Russian friend said; “A few years ago, the businessman was compromised, and we had many films of him, not good films”. In those times, this practice by the security forces in Eastern Europe was well known.
A few years later, while working in Russia, my business allowed me to socialise with rich and powerful people. Trump visited again. This time he was conducting business with the Russian mafia. Once again, rumours were rife about him being compromised.
I am convinced that when Putin cannot use Trump anymore, he will release whatever it is he has on Trump and it will become public. The ultimate embarrassment for the USA.
Artificial Intelligence for the Unintelligent
So, I have had a warning from Facebook because somebody complained a comment I made was harassment. There was an AI post of a woman holding a cake on her 40th birthday saying “Despite making this cake I cannot find a husband”. I commented, “Stop whining and smarten yourself up”. And, the complaint followed.
IT IS NOT REAL – SHE IS NOT REAL. It is an AI image, it would be ‘harassment’ if she were real. So I have posted again, “If I shout ‘splatter that mouse with the hammer!’ to Tom the cat in a cartoon, would that be ‘encouraging violence ?”
I had Photoshop open so I made a fake Facebook post from the fictional (I hope) account of ‘Benders With Choppers’ (see below). I think it is funny, but I am weird, granted. My point is that if I posted the second image below (labelled For Facebook Loons), so many people would message with empathy. The world is going mad and unless AI is controlled, you will not be able to distinguish fact from fiction.

Jaguar, the iconic motorcar has been in the news twice this week. Firstly, it seems the company is having a financial boom, which is great. Then, after announcing profit growth a new tv advert was aired. It does not make much sense, the car is never shown or mentioned. You have to watch it to understand how bonkers it is.

Winter is Coming
Every pledge the Labour Party made before the election has been broken. In fact, we can go further and also state that everything they said they would do, they haven’t. I will undoubtedly write about the above here later. But, for now, this is my prediction: Labour scrapped the winter fuel allowance for pensioners. In fact! Labour said in 2023 that removing the winter fuel allowance could cause as many as 4,000 deaths. Winter is here, and in a few weeks, the temperature will drop. The difference this year is that the excess winter mortality deaths of pensioners who had their winter fuel payments removed will be reported as Labour’s responsibility.
The Labour Party members must know this will happen, and it will guarantee them a one-term government.
I Could'nt Help Myself
It seems the whole World order has gone to the dogs. Starmer has never seemed genuine to me, even before he held office. But what he and Labour are doing is not going to end well. The UK is being used by the free loading travellers from France. I have spent the last three years in the Balkan countries, Here, they have problems but they do not have illegal immigrants, why? Because they will not give them accomodation and money for nothing, they will not put up with public disorder. Locals here laugh at the UK, they think we are stupid.

Always vocal, Mr Lammy it seems has a knack for putting his size ten’s in. However, to be fair, nobody really thought Trump could ever win a second term. The world has taken a bad turn and for Labour, they should know that Trump never forgets his foe’s……..
The UK Budget
It is budget day, the first Labour budget in 15 years and the first ever budget delivered by a woman or in this case Rachel Reeves. Let’s see what I predicted right, if anything.
Prediction Results are in!
- Raise to emplyer NI was lower at 1.2%
- Frozen Income Tax threshold. YES
- Change Inheritance Tax. Yes, very bad for farmers!
- Capital gains, Yes. 10% to 18% at the lower rate, and 20% to 24% at the higher rate.
- Amen Pension Withdrawel. No. But I suspect it will come later in the year.
- Bus fares increased. Yes, spot on.
- VAT exemption for private schools scrapped. Yes and correct on the Miitary famiy exemption
- Fuel/tobacco Yes, fuel was was frozen for now.
- Borrowing, Yes, a little more than I predicted at £55 billion (typo put $50 billion in the post)
